Edwards and O'Neil Among Wolverhampton Wanderers Managerial Contenders

Edwards along with O'Neil represent the early candidates under consideration to replace Vitor Pereira as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Pereira was sacked on Sunday following the team's ten-game winless start to the top-flight season.
Furthermore both candidates - both of who have previous associations to the club - are part of the names to be considered by the club ownership.
The manager is presently at Middlesbrough, which would pose a potential obstacle to his appointment at Wolves' stadium.
However the former Luton manager - who played over a century of games for Wolves during his time as a player - is said to be a strong candidate for the vacancy.
The 42-year-old is said to have backing from the Wolves board as they start the search of appointing a new manager.
O'Neil is also appearing as a unexpected candidate, although he would be a surprising choice given he was sacked by Wolves in the previous winter.
The ex- West Ham midfielder is out of work meaning the club would not need to provide any compensation.
