Spurs Manager Frank Calls Vicario Booers 'Not Real Supporters'
Fulham Start Strong to Beat Spurs and Raise Tension on Frank
Spurs fans who jeered keeper Guglielmo Vicario were informed later "those individuals can't be true Spurs fans" by boss Thomas Frank.
Tottenham let in two scores in the opening initial moments to fall 2-1 to their opponents, marking their 10th top-flight at home defeat of 2025.
However the primary topic of discussion was the visitors' second score when the keeper lost the ball well outside his area.
He came out to deal with a long ball and took the ball towards the touchline.
However, instead of kicking it out of play, the Italy international turned and tried to clear, but slipped as the ball glanced off Harry Wilson and was controlled by Josh King.
King laid the ball off to Welsh midfield player Wilson, who curled a strike into the goal from the touchline measured at 36.6 metres.
Seconds later when the ball went to Vicario once more, a number of Tottenham fans booed him.
Spurs were jeered off at half-time, with the club 2-0 behind, and again at the final whistle.
One of those booing episodes really angered Frank.
"It came to my attention a few of our fans apparently booed the incident and jeered following, which, in my opinion is completely unjustifiable," the Dane commented regarding the supporters' response to his shot-stopper.
"[They] cannot be true Spurs fans that do that. Alright jeering after the match, no problem, but when we are playing, we are backing one another, we are with each other going forward."
Kenny Tete had handed the visitors a fourth-minute advantage prior to Harry Wilson's goal – with Kudus scoring for Spurs in an better second-half performance.
Former Premier League keeper Joe Hart remarked that the next score was "totally preventable".
"I certainly understand the supporters' disappointment," the ex-keeper continued. "I know the part the keeper is playing. He is a excellent squad member, he is a true figure in the locker room but in the end you are going to be assessed by your actions.
"The keeper was deeply implicated in what turned out to be the winning score."

Frank Stood Up For His Goalkeeper Vicario Following the Game
Italy international the keeper is in his 3rd season with Tottenham.
He said following the game that he had to accept the feedback.
"That goal was a mistake of mine, I accept responsibility for it," he said.
"The intent was to kick the ball far and I just hit the ball in a bad manner. It was an more difficult challenge to climb."
He said being booed "is part of the game".
"I am mature, what can I say?" he added. "We cannot be affected by the circumstances in the crowd. Supporters have the right to do what they think.
"It's on the team to stay increasingly composed, to concentrate on our own performance. The team is missing in calmness and poise to reverse outcomes. This match is a poor defeat and it is hard to accept."
'It Shocked Me Nobody Returned to the Line'
Despite the keeper's error, it was not an simple goal for Harry Wilson to score.
In fact it was the second longest-range top division goal of the season – following Tyler Adams' 43.3 yard goal for the Cherries against the Black Cats, which interestingly also came on the same day.
Wilson stated he was "a little bit taken aback" that he still had an empty net to aim for.
Ten moments passed between Vicario exiting of his area and the midfielder striking – which was five moments after the kick.
"It seemed to me like the goalkeeper was out of the area for ages," he remarked.
"I was surprised not one of the back four went back to the line. When none of them defended the goal, my eyes lit up somewhat.
"Udogie fell as well, which allowed me a little additional time. After that it was all about attempting to achieve the correct contact and get it on target. I felt a good feeling, as soon as it left my foot, that it was on the right line."

Booing Whilst We Are Still in Play Is Completely Unacceptable - the Manager
While Vicario's mistake dominated headlines, this was an all-round bad performance for Spurs to extend their home ground struggles.
This was their tenth at home defeat of the year in the league, a shared club statistic along with nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.
The side still have home games against the manager's old side the Bees and title holders the Reds to play prior to the close of the year.
Only one of those victories have occurred after Frank took over from his predecessor in the summer.
"When you're behind 2-0 following the opening, there is a huge challenge to climb," said the boss.
"When you're in a bad spell, all aspects appears to go against you too – the first was a deflected attempt, the next is a error from the keeper.
"The outcome leaves us in a position where we have lost an additional match. Every game has a unique narrative, today we were defeated in the early stages.
"We just need to keep working. The second half was much better and with luck an aspect we can utilize to develop."
Tottenham have been defeated in four straight home capital clashes for the initial time in the top division.
And they are recording 9.5 shots and 3.2 shots on target per game in the division – their poorest rates on file in a one season (dating back to 2003-04).
Former Cottagers midfielder Murphy commented that the manager has to ride the storm.
"He must take the criticism," the pundit said. "He's accepted a high profile role at a huge team with massive expectation. There is scrutiny and responsibility that accompanies that.
"The performances at home have been poor and they have to improve {quickly|
